Cloning, the highly-discussed scientific achievement of today is considered as the latest biological wonder. A clone is nothing but a group of genetically identical cells. A living being originated from a single parent cell is also called as a clone. The reproductive method through which clone is created is called cloning. The modern science has proved that a new life can be created without the fusion of the egg with a sperm. The major achievement of cloning is that a new generation is created from a somatic cell of an animal. It is not necessary that a child formed by the fusion sperm and egg through natural method, should retain the peculiarities of its father or mother. There are several objections arising from different corners of the world for the cloning process in humans. Even with all these objections cloning experiments are in progress in a number of laboratories.
